Author Biographies
Dr. Julie Coiro is a Professor of Literacy Education at the University of Rhode Island. She is the author of numerous books and articles on disciplinary literacy and digital literacy. Her research has been funded by the National Science Foundation and the Spencer Foundation.
Dr. Maureen Walsh is a Professor of Literacy Education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is the author of numerous books and articles on disciplinary literacy and teacher education. Her research has been funded by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development and the National Reading Association.
