- Blanket: 29" x 74cm
- Hat: 3mths (14" circumference),6mths (16" circumference)
Instructions
Blanket
- Cast on 120 stitches with main color yarn.
- Knit 2 rows.
- Row 3: *K2, P2; repeat from * to end of row.
- Rows 4-6: Knit.
- Row 7: *K2, P2; repeat from * to end of row.
- Rows 8-10: Knit.
- Repeat rows 3-10 until piece measures 29" from cast on edge.
- Bind off all stitches.
Hat
3mths
- Cast on 80 stitches with main color yarn.
- Join to work in the round, being careful not to twist stitches.
- Knit 1 round.
- Row 2: *K2, P2; repeat from * to end of round.
- Rows 3-5: Knit.
- Row 6: *K2, P2; repeat from * to end of round.
- Rows 7-9: Knit.
- Repeat rows 2-9 until piece measures 5" from cast on edge.
- Next round: *K2tog, P2; repeat from * to end of round.
- Next round: Knit.
- Repeat last 2 rounds until 40 stitches remain.
- Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread tail through remaining stitches and pull tight to close hat.
6mths
- Cast on 96 stitches with main color yarn.
- Join to work in the round, being careful not to twist stitches.
- Knit 1 round.
- Row 2: *K2, P2; repeat from * to end of round.
- Rows 3-5: Knit.
- Row 6: *K2, P2; repeat from * to end of round.
- Rows 7-9: Knit.
- Repeat rows 2-9 until piece measures 6" from cast on edge.
- Next round: *K2tog, P2; repeat from * to end of round.
- Next round: Knit.
- Repeat last 2 rounds until 48 stitches remain.
- Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread tail through remaining stitches and pull tight to close hat.

- You can use any DK weight yarn for this pattern. I used Lion Brand Vanna's Choice yarn in the colors "White" and "Bluebell."
